Prob 'Lam'he!

The Bhatt brothers, Mahesh and Mukesh, seem to have shared a decent equation with Shiney Ahuja in Gangster and Woh Lamhe, but they might have to rest content doing fewer films with him. Reason? Their nephew and director, Mohit Suri doesn't want to work with Ahuja again, as they did not share a comfort level while filming Woh Lamhe.

Gadbad hai
Says a source, "All is not well between Mohit and Shiney. They didn't get along during the making of Woh Lamhe. They had many creative differences. Mohit will not work with Shiney again."

Mohit was unavailable for comment, but Mahesh Bhatt confirms that there is indeed a problem between Mohit and Shiney. Mahesh says that even Anurag Basu (Gangster's director) had problems with Shiney. "During the making of Gangster, I heard reports from Mukesh in Korea that Shiney was whimsical in his behaviour, but not vicious or malicious. There were also some problems between Shiney and Kangana (Ranaut) pertaining to comfort level. But these things do happen. It takes all kinds of people to make this world. Human beings have mood swings and we have to create room for that. We chose to look the other way and Gangster went through."

Help chahiye
But Mohit's problems with Shiney are more serious. Mahesh continues, "Mohit's issues with Shiney are far more serious than the one's Anurag had. Anurag handled those problems with ease. I don't get into these things until my directors reach out and ask for help."

And so Mohit told the Bhatts that he was over-shooting his budget because he was shooting more than he should have. Mahesh reveals, "Mohit said that he could not manage Woh Lamhe in the budget allocated. He complained that he had a group of unprofessional and undisciplined people. He questioned why he should have to shoot twenty times more to get a competent performance from Shiney. Shiney didn't have the same ideas of perfection as Mohit, hence Mohit had to stretch himself."Phir?
Mahesh called up Shiney and had a chat. He explained to Shiney that Mohit had a problem with him, and he should be helping him rather than making things difficult. "I even told him that we work with non-stars because we want to give full control to the director," he says.

The grapevine is that Shiney and Mahesh were not talking by the time Woh Lamhe was completed. Mahesh clarifies, "I normally don't talk to my actors unless it is essential. As far as my personal opinion on Shiney is concerned, I liked Shiney from day one. And I continue to like him. He has sparkled in Woh Lamhe. I have no issues about working with him again," he says, adding optimistically, "With the passage of time, Mohit and Shiney's differences will be ironed out."
Kabool hai
Shiney tries to brush off the issue saying that everything is hunky-dory between Mohit and him. However, he says, "At the end of the day, you can't get along with everyone as much as you did with Anurag Basu. Every director is not Anurag Basu. However, I look forward to working with Vishesh Films again. When they have a good script and good director, I wouldn't mind signing on the dotted line."
Will he work with Mohit again? After a long silence, Shiney says, "I did Woh Lamhe because Bhatt saab, whom I respect very much, asked me to do this film. And Mukeshji said, 'Beta, yeh kar lo, it will help you a lot'."
