Anurag Basu says his film Metro, inspired by MiD DAY's Dear Diana column, circles around the city and relationships.

ANURAG Basu remembers how it first felt standing helplessly at the Mira Road platform and watching as a sea of men jumping into the Virar local. "I just couldn't get on to the train," he says, seated on a roomy chair at a suburban luxury hotel, "I'd come from small town Bhilai in Chhatisgarh and it was all very strange to me — the ladies cutting vegetables in the train because they just didn't have the time for it otherwise." Kangana has come a long way from the hills of Dehradun. Regarded as one of the hottest (and haughtiest) newcomers in Bollywood, she is still a little girl at heart and petrified of her strict parents.

The 20-year-old actress talks about her younger days which were totally influenced by her parents:

We're not sure if it's that cold British air that's been getting to Shilpa Shetty, but the usually stylish actress stepped out in a Gucci dress that did nothing for her personality or her figure. The loud print, the baggy fit and long sleeves made her look like she'd stepped into a fusion middle-eastern style kimono gone wrong! Read More...

It’s one thing to hear the soundtrack of a film as it is beamed on the big screen, but it’s a totally different experience to witness a live performance. The beat was on at a suburban hotel poolside with Pritam Chakraborty singing with power and passion.
