We have the transcript from the IndiaFM interview with Mohit...provided by our lovely Moderator Waluscha that was able to get in some questions regarding Kangana whom he seems to adore! Read on!


He is one of those talented young directors of the industry who has achieved place in the industry through his different vision towards the cinema. Mohit is all set to release his film Awarapan. He spoke about his films, music and personal life on Indiafm's celebrity chat. Here are excerpts from the chat.

Awara : How did you think of casting Shreya, I want her Mobile
Mohit Suri : even i wan her mobile no awara ... hahahah ... but honestly she just walked into the office and i thought she fitted the role.. i havent seen any of her films.. or didnt even audition her

Mahi : are you Punjabi?
Mohit Suri : well my father is punjabi
Mohit Suri : my mother is half muslim and guju.. i'd call myself hybrid

Mohit Suri : well i auditined a couple of women... and she by far was the best ...

Mohit Suri : well its difficult for me to comment about him .. he's my cousin.. and more so we have grown up in the same house

Mahi : have you seen the film city of god...

Mohit Suri : well .. its the story of a man who is a kidnapper by profession who finally fights to save the life of pakistani woman ...

Mohit Suri : well we are talking about a script at them moment .. she's seen my films and likes them . so i'm working on a script at them momnet

Mohit Suri : well both films are from the same source .. the relationship of mahesh bhatt and parveen babi… but what woh lamhe has and achieved ... that phir cud not.. was the resolve of thier love

steve : how difficult is it to get the first break?
Mohit Suri : why i made zeher which was and inspired ... i mean copied film.. was cause when your just 22 and you want to make a film.. the only way to convince a producer that you can make a film is by showing him a foriegn film ...

vat : what r ur plans after awarapan
Mohit Suri : well i usually work on one film at a time .. dont jump things .. but i'm working on the script of raaz 2 ..

Jerin : Hi Mohit sir,I am a huge fan of the entire Bhatt camp.Your films Woh Lamhe,Zeher and Kalyug were great and had excellent music.But the music tracks of Awarapan are not upto the mark,and the promotion is not enough..Its the most expensive film from the Bhatt camp,still music not as great as any of the previous films from the Bhatt camp.I
Mohit Suri : well jerin just scroll up in the same chat monitor.. they all seem to love my music of awarapan.. i can confidently say its my best music.. buy it.. you wont be disappointed ..

Jerin : what is ur equation with Vikram Bhatt?
Mohit Suri : vikram is and will always remain my boss .. I'm really thank ful to him for teaching me the language of cinema.. when i started at 17 i didnt even know what a film camera was.. he was shameless partial to me ..

awan : is it true your shot the ending of the movie in lahore?
Mohit Suri : yes.. the last scene is in lahore ... its an amazing city ... was great shooting there

leeya mitra : are nadeem shravan really coming back together in raaz 2?
Mohit Suri : well we are still talking to them .. nadeem is a super talented music director and so is shravan. it wud be an honour to get them together

omar : do u agree when i say emraan is getting typecast...
Mohit Suri : well i think emran is a very talented actor ... yes he's gettting type casted .. but watch him awarapan ... he doesnt kiss .. he doesnt steal anyone elses girl ... nothing like that ..

M : is it true u were to cast a cretain nandini singh in yr movie?
Mohit Suri : nandini singh ? wow ... i dont know of any actress like that ... i did have a girl friend by that name.. but she's not even close to films

Waluscha : Is your sister working in any film now?
Mohit Suri : my sister is not working with me in a film at them moment .... i want her to work with other film makers .. cuase i believe she's very talented and she needs to work with others to prove that its not me who's the one behind her acting

Waluscha : Where did you study? At the same college with Emraan?
Mohit Suri : no .. i was science student in jai hind college.. finally graduated in BMS from mmk badra

Waluscha : Will u work again with Kangna Ranaut?
Mohit Suri : i would love to work with kangana ... she's my favourite ... but now only in a film where she smiles more.. no more sucidal roles for her with me atleast

ikramsk : dont you feel we have had a lot of emraan films lately like good boy bad boy, train and now awarapan...do u think pple will go for it?
Mohit Suri : well i agree .. too many emraan films ...but i believe if a film is good its doesnt matter who's acting in it .. my previous films had rank new comers .. and they still worked ..

Waluscha : How was the experience shooting Awarapan in Hong Kong? Did you guys face any probs?
Mohit Suri : hong kong is a kickass city

abhi : atif aslams woh lamhe from jal pari was used in zeher.. then aadat in kalyug.. now tho phir aao by roxen in awarapan... love these songs... but dont u feel like just creating new songs like those in woh lamhe .. rather than just re creating it again..
Mohit Suri : well when i have access to great music ... now with my association with pakistani bands... they just come and give me thier best music.. why should i complain ..

moses sapir : What is yr fave amitabh movie ?
Mohit Suri : well i just love satte pe satta.. and do aur do paach ...

ikramsk : i thought shiney ahuja was aweful in all his films...but u extracted good performance from him in woh lamhe... kudos
Mohit Suri : that you ikramsk ... i feel like a mother when her is priased .. when someone praises my actors...

moses sapir : do u agree that the films coming out of the bhatt camp are not like the ones that used to come out in the 90s like sadak, hum hain rahi pyar ke or tamanna
Mohit Suri : well they are different directors now ... and honestly... i belive we have actually evolved as a company ... its today that our brand is more recognized that in the 90's

Waluscha : Would you love to work with Anurag Basu as co-directors?
Mohit Suri : i wud not like to work with any one as a co director .. But in fact me and anurag have worked as co directors.. i had to complete tumsa nahi dekhs when he fell sick

Mohit Suri : is big .. i mean i talk to my friends all over the world and they all know about every thing that's happening in the indian film industry through india fm .. sometimes even more than me

Mohit Suri : well moses every director goes through highs and lows ... dont forget the time when he made great films like ghulam , kasoor , raaz , awara pagal deewana.. pls note all the films vary in thier genre ... and ll successful

Mohit Suri : well i dont plan things like that .. If my film needs someone... I call for his or her services.. i'm not in awe .. or aspire to work with any singer or actor ... actully maybe angelina jolie

Mohit Suri : i'm too new here to adivce anyone .. all i can say is hard work .. if you've got something in you ... you will stand out ... see rdb ... none of the people are the usual filmi people

angelstar : hi mohit!! I will first of all appreciate ur way of creating films with a difference! Well i wanted to ask u that in today 's hectic world where people are filled with tension and worldly problem they really aspire to see something that makes them laugh and enjoy! what is your take on this!! Cant u try ur hands on Comedy??
Mohit Suri : well comedy is the toughest to make .. i confess ... but trust me ... its not the only thing people want to see .. you wouldn't be having this conversation with me if only comic films were being appreciated

Mohit Suri : well .. i work really hard on them.. but its as basic as what you do when you hear a song ... does it make you feel good .. do you want to keep hearing it ... if i feel it just the way you do when you buy my album i select it
