Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan’s debut film Haal-e-Dil did not click at the box office.

But the youngster’s been in the news... either for his disappointment over his role or about his personal life (Aditya Pancholi recently linked Kangana Ranaut with Adhya-yan). So what does the young man himself have to say about all this?

Your debut film hasn’t clicked, but you don’t look disappointed...

The film didn’t click because of its own inherent weaknesses. Thank God I have a dad like Shekhar Suman from whom I have learnt to be like the Rock of Gibraltar in the face of all oddities.

Was your role slashed or was it just a wrong choice you made?

It was purely my wrong choice and my vulnerability and gullibility to believe in the goodness of things and people around me. I have been let down by my own sense of judgement.

Your dad was quoted saying not Haal-e-Dil but Raaz 2 is your debut movie?

What he meant was you must always count life from the time of your success and not from your failures. Honestly Haal-e-Dil was my internship. I am graduating with Raaz 2.

Aditya Pancholi who recently lashed out at Kangana Ranaut said she behaved like she was Shekhar Suman’s bahu at your film premiere...

Well I didn’t know Aditya Pancholi had a great sense of ‘rumour’! Shekhar Suman only behaved like a good host and Kangana Ranaut a good guest.

Do you feel you are suddenly in the news...

Yes, and I hope always for the right reasons. Though I accept I have to live within the periphery of the hazards and perils of my profession.

You have an interesting role in Raaz 2. Any other films you’ve taken up?
