Bollywood is known for making new fashion statements all the time.

But sometimes, our Bollywood fashionistas can go a little OTT, as was the case with Kangana Ranaut at Madhur Bhandarkar and Ronnie Screwvala’s film do on Wednesday night. The actress (who has put on some weight and is looking better with it), wore a shining yellow something which she claimed to have designed herself. Moreover, she had some red ‘false’ flowers and feathers fixed on her made-up hair. Planning a career change or just trying to make a new style statement, Kangana?

Priyanka Chopra, the other star of the party, walked in with her parents. Her dress was interesting, to say the least, it reminded one of the way Kajol draped herself in a towel for a song in DDLJ. She seemed a tad uncomfortable in it, however, as she kept pulling it up and adjusting it. She was fielded with questions on how she was planning to celebrate her birthday, which is today. Mugdha Godse made her own fashion statement in an electric blue mini dress with matching eye make-up. Madhur Bhandarkar played the perfect host, greeting all his guests personally. Arjan Bajwa was in quite a casual demeanour in spite of the black coat!

Mistaken identity! There was another man there who resembled Arjan Bajwa so much, that at one point a guest ran to him and said: “How uncouth are you? I’ve been calling you from the other end for so long and you don’t even respond... oh sorry, you aren’t Arjan, are you?” The poor guy was seen trying to recuperate long after the lady was gone to find the ‘real’ Arjan!
