Kangana on kites and Aamir khan

In a recent Interview, Kangana Ranaut talks about her meeting with Rakesh Roshan to talk about Kites.

He said ‘you are doing my film’. That’s the kind of rapport I have with Anurag. He never narrates the script to me. How can you refuse someone who has launched you and taught you acting, anyways? No complaints, ‘Metro’ worked out well. Same with ‘Kite’. I knew that Anurag was directing ‘Kite’ with Hrithik Roshan. One fine day he just called me and said you’re doing the film.

Of course Rakesh Roshan has a different style of working so he narrated the script. And I was super excited when I heard that I was doing my first film with Hrithik Roshan. I’m telling you, the drive from my place to Rakesh Roshan’s office was indescribable. I had butterflies in my stomach. I couldn’t believe I was doing a film with Hrithik,” she says with glee.

One can only imagine her enth-usiasm. Its well worth after her last missed opportunity with Aamir Khan with whom she was slated to do a film. “Oh no, you can’t compare the two experiences at all,” she says firmly. “I love excitement of signing a new film like the way Hrithik’s film worked out. It was a firm, quick decision.

But with Aamir’s film, there was a lot of confusion as to whether or not I was doing it. That’s anticipation. I don’t like being confused. I don’t want that in my life. ” Maybe it was for the better that her film with Aamir didn’t work out. Going with Aamir’s style of working, she might have had to alter her lifestyle to suit his liking and dedicate a year to learning acting to live up to Aamir’s standards. His new find, Jiah Khan is going through the process as we speak. “Look if Aamir Khan worked with me he wouldn’t have to change a single thing about me.

My priority is work. I take my work seriously so he wouldn’t have had to ask me to cramp my style. And he would definitely not have to send me for an acting workshop. I would’ve given my all to the film anyways. If you see my history, I gave up my family to come to Bombay and join films. For me my job is above everything else.

Everything else comes second to my work. I’ve heard that when Aamir Khan works on a film everyone on the sets is asked to call the artists by their screen characters’ names and I don’t see that as a stretch. It shows a passion towards something, that I understand,” she responds.
