Rolling with the Deols...After Bobby, Kangana teams up with Sunny!

Co-directors Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao love to pair middle-aged heroes with relatively young actresses. In Lucky — No Time For Love they had a 40-plus Salman Khan wooing a 17-year-old Sneha Ullal. Now they're pairing a 50-something Sunny Deol with a 20-something Kangana Ranaut for their next, Happy New Year.

Bobby Deol took a shine to Kangana after they did Suneel Darshan's Shaka Laka Boom Boom together, and got buddy-director Samir Karnik to direct the pair together in Roshan. The film is yet to see a release. Kangana is now Bobby's bro Sunny's leading lady.

Period tale

T-Series' Happy New Year is an out-and-out love triangle and will be shot in Chicago later this year. Madhavan who plays the third angle of the triangle is convinced that the casting is right. "Believe me, if you hear the script you'll agree that the casting is perfect. Sunny, Kangana and I are part of a love triangle set in Chicago. The story unfolds during the year 1975."

Madhavan and his co-stars will wear the clothes and drive the cars of that decade. "But the emotions are universal," assures Maddy. "When I heard Vinay and Radhika's script, I had tears in my eyes. But to me the biggest high of doing Happy New Year is Sunny Deol. I'm his biggest fan and was looking forward to the time when we could finally work together."
